Terms of Service
Effective November 4, 2026
These Terms govern your use of XPI LifeGuard (“LifeGuard”), operated by XPI Solutions. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Your information is self-reported
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information in your profile. LifeGuard displays what you enter; it does not verify it clinically. Keep it current — out-of-date information could mislead someone trying to help you.
Your account
- Keep your login credentials secure and don't share them.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for the profiles you manage.
- If you manage a profile for someone else, you confirm you're authorized to do so.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to access other members' data, overloading or probing the system, requesting notifications you aren't authorized to send, or using LifeGuard for any unlawful purpose.
Subscriptions and payment
- Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the interval you select (monthly or annual) and renew automatically until canceled.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Physical cards and accessories are sold separately; details are provided at the point of sale.
- Prices may change on a going-forward basis with notice.
Notifications
Family notifications are sent only when requested and only to contacts who opted in and were verified. A “sent” status means a message was handed to our SMS provider. We do not guarantee that any message is delivered, received, read, or acted upon.
Service availability
We work to keep LifeGuard available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Do not rely on LifeGuard as your only means of communicating critical medical information.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the information displayed is accurate (it is provided by you), that notifications will be delivered, or that the service will be available at any particular time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, XPI Solutions and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on the service, the accuracy of member-provided information, or the delivery or non-delivery of notifications. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using LifeGuard and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service or others.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new effective date here and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
